Champ: Lucky & Good

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

 Free Rollin' Cohen

When Jon Cohen (Staten Island, NY) got the call that he won the on-line drawing for a seat into the Borgata Summer Poker Open Championship Event he thought it was bad news.  "Usually I don't pickup, but I'm glad I did," he says while on break in the tournament.

In fact the Championship Event is a break for Cohen from his usual $2-$5 cash games.  "Deep stacks more closely mimic cash," says Cohen who has 55k, nearly double the 30k starting stack.

"This is nice to play because the structure is amazing," says the full time poker pro, "You get to play a lot of poker before it becomes a shove-fest."

Cohen periodically jumps into tournaments, but the husband and father of three can usually be found grinding away on the Borgata cash tables and loves the way the Poker Room is run.

"Borgata does everything for the players," he says, "that's why they keep coming back."

Cohen had a relaxing Father's Day in New York, a day at the park and playing on the swings before heading back to his Borgata office.  He's hoping his good play and now good fortune turns into a big payday.
