Israel Casis (New York, NY) was first to go. He got his short-stack in with A5 suited against pocket 9s. The board was A J J 8 7 and the pocket pair held up. Israel finished 18th.
Next it was Dave Elliott (Eatontown, NJ) who got his short-stack in the middle holding KQ off against Danny Yousefzadeh's A9 of diamonds.
The board came T 4 3 6 J -- with three diamonds -- and Danny's flush took the pot. Dave took 17th place.
After a player opened for 8k and got one caller, Nick Salimbene moved his last 50k in. The opener called, showing pocket 5s. Nick was racing with AQ suited. Unfortunately a 5 flopped and Nick whiffed his outs, busting in 16th place.
All three of these players will pick up $1,761 for their efforts.
