Joe Gargan ripped through the final table of this event, busting seven out of eight opponents. In addition to the prize money, Joe will collect $1,800 for his 18 black bounty chips.
Joe handles quality control for a shoe company and travels frequently to China. He only plays occasionally and only played this event by accident.
"I meant to enter the PLO tournament" [event 3] he says, but ended up in this tournament [event 2]. "I can play Hold'em whenever I want, but it is hard to find a PLO game".
Joe's accident worked out well for him and after getting some rest, he's going to try to come back and play some more during the Summer Open.
