Pogarsky Grabs Proof....
Greg Pogarsky (Rexford, NY) was aware of the Borgata Leaderboard promotion, but didn't realize that winning a side event would vault him into the top three overall.
"I didn't know that winning a second chance would get me that many points," says Pogarsky. "I guess I'll be playing a lot more second chances."
The 4 pm and 7 pm tournaments are side events to the 21 Main Event trophies that are up for grabs. Players affectionately call these events "second chance tournaments," because it lets them play more tournament poker after they've been eliminated from the main.
"I love these series," Pogarsky adds while texting his friends and families the surprising news, "everything is great."
