Ferris in "Beast" Mode
On a board of 2♣ 7♦ 6♠ J♣ A♠, Claudius Ferris (Hollis, NY) raises his opponent from 6,600 to 19k. The player makes the crying call and when Ferris shows A♣ J♥ for two pair, the opponent frustratedly shows pocket queens.
The river ace helps Ferris take his stack to 135k and is one of the big stacks in the room.
"Everybody knows me as 'the beast,' says Ferris as he stacks his chips into silo like towers.
