Champ: 38th Place - Orenshtein

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Israel Orenshtein (E. Hartford, CT) moves all in with AJ and Melad Marji makes the call with K 9.  Marji hits a king on the river and Orenshtein is on the rail.

We're officially on the money bubble and hand-for-hand play is underway.

Champ: 39th Place - Lynch

 $2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Eamon Lynch (Orangeburg, NY) is out in 39th place when he runs pocket jacks into the pocket aces of Mike Melkerson. We're two spots from the money.

Champ: DeLuca Doubles, Gomes Doubles

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

The action on table 4 has two different all-in hands that both involve Jose Gomes.

First Matt DeLuca doubles 100kwith AK through Gomes who has pocket 8s.  The hand leaves Gomes with only 34k.

On the next hand Gomes is all in with pocket 6s against the 8♣ 9♣ of Eugene Fouksman, who flops a 9. But Gomes gets help from the deck as he goes runner-runner spade for the 6 high flush and the double-up.

Champ: Marji Doubles Through Fouksman

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Blinds 2,500/5k, 400 ante

Melad Marji moves all in for 96k and is at risk vs. Eugene Fouksman.

Fouksman: K♠ 4♠
Marji: Q♠ 5♠

Flop: 9♠ Q 4(Marji pair of queens)

Turn: 3♠ (Fouksman  better flush draw)

River: 5 (Marji two pairs)

Marji stays alive with two pairs.

Champ: Marder Leads 3 From Money

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

  Marder the Man on Top

Michael Marder (Sewell, NJ) is the chip leader with 711k and is just ahead of Ben Starkweather (Winston Salem, NC) who is at 690k.

We're three spots from the money and two eliminations from hand-for-hand play.

Players are on a 15 minute break and looking at blinds of 2,500/5k/400 ante when play resumes.

Champ: Picking up the Pace

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Three quick eliminations moves the count down to 42 players.

The most interesting hand is Mike Melkersen with AQ vs A 10 and the board showing 3 4 7 3 4, which would normally be a chop, but Melkersen's suited AQ hits a heart on the river for the nut flush.

15 minutes until the last break of the night.

Champ: No Movement

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

(l-r) Chan, Marder & Cheng

It's been more than 30 minutes since the last elimination as we're stuck on 45 players.

There's a lot of chips on table 2 which features some tough outs.  Mike Linster, Daniel Chan, Mike Marder, Yat Cheng and Leonardo Palermo are all at what has become the featured table and has plenty of rail birds.

Event 18: Bubble Breaks

$350 + $50 Big Stack No Limit Hold'em (Re-Entry)

The bubble breaks and James Boyle manages to make the money after being down to less than one big blind.  The final 27 players are in the money and guaranteed a min cash of $746 as they chase the top prize of $23,191.

Event 18: 11 am Hand-for-Hand

$350 + $50 Big Stack No Limit Hold'em (Re-Entry)

One Blind for Boyle

The morning trophy tournament is down to 28 players, one spot from the money and play is hand-for-hand.

James Boyle is all in and at risk with less than one big blind (7,500 chips and can't complete the 8k BB).

Boyle goes to war with 6 9 off suit versus A X and hits a nine on the river to say alive.  He then survives a second all in with A J and is now off life support.

Boyle is part of the killer Bs who are trying to make the money. Boyle, Bishop (Tim) and @JABistro (John Allan Hinds) are still in the tournament along with Stephanie Hubbard.

Matt "Muffins" Mazzeo is a recent casualty.

Champ: Marder Making Moves

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Michael Marder (Sewell, NJ) has more than 600k and files these tweets from the table:

9: 17 PM WOW I'm running HOT! Over 600k now after AKhh beats a flopped set of 5s in a fun hand...tell u guys this one later!

Blinds up to 2k/4k, 400 ante.

Champ: Rich Get Richer

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Big stack John Aglialoro and three players take a flop of 7 2 5 and three players move all in with Israel Orenshtein folding to all the action.

Aglialoro: 7 7
Seat 1: 2 2
Scott Blackman: 8 8

The turn and river don't change anything and Aglialoro knocks out two players on the hand.

He's now up to 524k, while the field is down to 49 players.

Orenshtein says he folded pocket 9s meaning four players were dealt pocket pairs on the hand.

Champ: Gazes Gone

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Bill Gazes (New York, NY) and Marvin Siegel (Freehold, NJ) both get their short stacks all in preflop.

Gazes: J 6
Siegel: 4 4

Board: 7 3 6 5 J

Gazes hits a pair of 6s on the flop, but the turn card gives Siegel the straight and sends Gazes to the rail.

Down to 51 players as 30 minutes remain with blinds at 1,500/3k, 300 ante.

Champ: Last Woman Sitting

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Laura Lasts Longest

Laura Church (Wykoff, NJ) wasn't just near the bottom of the women's chip counts with her Day 2 starting stack of 26k, but was 108 out of 127 returning players.

Church is still nursing the short stack and is the last woman standing.  She's up to 110k and is upset when her pocket aces don't get any action.

Church outlasted Day 1B chip leader Cathy Dever (Ephrata, PA), Nancy Martin (Washington Crossing, PA) and Taisiya Kuzentsova (Brooklyn, NY) who all busted on Day 2.

These folks will NOT be returning, as they have busted out:

Collin Whyte
Seth Gomes
Howard Wolper
Fran Cipriano

Champ: Dever Done

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

It took him two tries, but Leonardo Palermo (Toms River, NJ) has busted day 1B chip leader Cathy Dever.

 Leonardo Palermo

First, he was all-in with KQ against her pocket 8s.  He ran her down on the board and doubled up.

Then she was all-in with QJ and ran into his pocket Jacks, which held up.  Cathy was busted.

Nancy Martin has also busted out, which leaves Laura Church as the last woman remaining in this event.

Champ: New Chip Leader

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

In less than one level of play, Ron Pease is back down to 180k, losing more than half his stack.  He tweets the deets:

Then got JJ<TT and AJ in another 200k pot #OnlyWayTheyCanWin #BackToTheDrawingBoard

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Table two has gotten tougher.  Eugene Juergens busted out and was replaced by Seth Gomes (New York, NY).

Speaking of table two:

After an opening raise, Michael Marder (Sewell, NJ) flatted, then Paul Vacchio (Inwood, NY) shoved for ~60k. The opener folded and Michael called with AQ.  Paul had A4 and was busted.

 Michael Marder

Michael Marder is up to ~390k and possibly second in chips.

Laura Church has been moved into the seat previously occupied by Paul Vacchio.

Champ: New Chip Leader

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Play resumed after the break with

Level 15:  1,200/2,400 with 300 ante.

Before the break:

Ron Pease (Glastonbury, CT) has built a mountain of chips during the previous level.  First he won a three-way all-in, then tangled in a hand against Cathy Dever.

 Ron Pease

They got to the turn with a board of A J 7 T (two hearts, two clubs).  Ron (sb) bet 13,500.  Cathy (cutoff) called.  River was the 6 of hearts.  Ron bet 28,300.  After giving it some thought, Cathy made the call.

Ron showed A6 of spades for two pair.  Cathy mucked.  With that pot, Ron was up to over 450k.

Champ: Melo Back-Doors Fouksman

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

On a flop of A K J, Robert Melo (Howard Beach, NY) was all-in against Eugene Fouksman (Manalapan, NJ).

 Eugene Fouksman & Robert Melo

Robert has AQ for top pair with a gutshot.  Eugene had QT and had flopped Broadway.  It looked like Robert was headed for the rail, but then the last two came A J giving him a back-door full house.

He doubled up to ~150k.  Eugene was still in good shape with ~300k.

End of level 14 and time for a break.

Champ: Toft Rivers Two

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

Three players see a flop of T♠9♠x.  Lawrence Sahr (Hoboken, NJ) fired 15k, Bo Toft (Yardley, PA) moved in for 50k, Rick Chang (Lawrenceburg, IN) called, then Lawerence moved in over the top for another 100k.  Rick then folded (pocket Aces).

Lawrence had 8♠7♠ for the open-ended straight-flush draw.  Bo had K♠Q♠ for the gutshot straight-flush draw, nullifying one end of Lawrence's open-ender.

The last two cards came offsuit K Q giving Bo runner-runner two-pair.  With the dead money in the pot, Bo more than doubled up to ~175k.

According to Israel Orenshtein (Wildwood, NJ) the player two seats to his right, Nick Salimbene (Brick, NJ) has flopped 5 sets in the last two hours.  In one case, Nick had Queens against Kings and flopped a Queen to bust another player.

That would explain how Nick has chipped up from his starting stack of 153k to his current stack of ~360k.

It appears that Nick is the chip leader as of the break.

Mario (sb) had pocket Queens.  Maruti (bb) had pocket 4s and had flopped a set.

Champ: Winner v. Winner

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

In another random seat draw coincidence, two preliminary event winners landed at the same table.

Table two is home to both Paul Vacchio (Inwood, NY) who won event 10, and Collin Whyte, (Brooklyn, NY) who won event 15.

Paul Vacchio in the tank, considering a raise from Collin Whyte

In a recent hand, Paul Vacchio bet 10,200 from the cutoff and Collin Whyte raised to 31,200 from the small blind (leaving only about 30k behind).

Paul tanked for several minutes, asking "What are you doin', Bro?" and "Show me if I fold?".

Collin was silent for a moment, then replied "I'll tell you one thing.  You are one of the very few people I like."

Paul eventually decided to let it go.  Collin peeled up his hand to show one card: the A♠.

Champ: Luck Be A Lady

$2,500 + $200 Championship Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

With 127 players returning for day two, and only four of them women, what are the odds that two ladies will land on the same table AND be seated next to each other??

 Nancy Martin & Laura Church

Well, it happened here today.  Nancy Martin (Washington Crossing, PA) and Laura Church (Wyckoff, NJ) are seated next to each other at table 13.

Table 14 has broken which means their table will be the next to break, so they won't be seated together for long -- unless another random event happens and they draw seats at the same table again!

***  When table 13 broke, Nancy Martin landed at table seven,  to the right of one of the other ladies still in this event, Cathy Dever!  ***
