Mejia (left) Tells a Tale on How Ying (right)Cracked Kings
Less than 200 players are on dinner break and a clear chip leader has emerged in Pofuk Ying (Edison, NJ) who has 390k.
Just before the break, Jorge Mejia (North Bergen, NJ) joins the table and says, "oh no, not this guy."
Mejia proceeds to explain how at their earlier table Ying chased down a flush with Q 7 againt Mejia's pocket kings. "This guy is crazy, but good," he says after he lost 90k to Ying on the hand.
Ying's biggest cash was for $26,000 as runner-up in the 2010 Borgata Winter Open $200 event. That was 1,100 player field that featured winner Alex Lindh, Todd Rebello & Tony "O.G." Shurilla at the final table.
Mejia survived the hand and was left with 40k.
Players are on a one hour break and play resumes at ~8:10 pm.
