Event 7: A Gr8 Escape

$350 + $50 Deep Stack NLH (Re-Entry)

It's always been said that the only real thing you can do in the early levels of a tournament is lose it.  So with the re-entry option out there, it's very easy to get married to good hands and ship it away.  On a flop of 10c 9c Qs, Bobby Chee (Staten Island, NY) was heads up and fired a bet of 3100 into his opponent.  His bet was immediately raised to 13100, and after sizing up his opponent's stack, Chee flatted.  The turn was the 8h, and Chee then open shoved for 32k.  His opponent folded and showed Q 10, thinking the 8 was one of the less appealing turn cards.  But it actually may of helped him, because Chee had flopped the nuts (K J), and Bobby was left to contemplate if three betting the flop may of been the optimal line.
